New FOSS NIR poster: Prediction of Solid Dosage Form Dissolution Profile

FOSS NIRSystems, Inc. is presenting a new poster at EAS in November, 2008, on the subject: NIR Prediction of Solid Dosage Form Dissolution Profile.

This study concludes that Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) prediction of the dissolution profile of intact tablets provides a fast and accurate means of non-destructively assessing tablets, which is in step with the FDA Process Analytical Technology (PAT) initiatives. The data shows promising results that could relieve laboratory workload from dissolution testing. NIRS is an analytical technique based on absorptions measured in the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is between the visible and the mid-infrared.
